This study aims to review the current situation and problems of representative programs of the housing welfare policy, and to thereby propose directions and problems that the future housing welfare policy should take and
solve. The Korean housing welfare policy consists of the public rental housing sector, the rent support sector, the housing reform sector, and the homeless support sector. Problems were deduced according to each detailed policy. The future directions and problems in our housing welfare policy are as following. Firstly, the materialization of the housing disadvantaged group is needed. Thus, the subject fo the housing welfare policy should be solidified. Secondly, the approach considering the supply of housing and the local society is required. Lastly, the improvement of the information delivery system is necessary through means such as the installation of a separate organization located on-site professionalizing in housing support to act as a point of contact for, and with the residents.
