This study aimed to clarify the characteristics of perception of life and death, health and disease reflected in Korean and Japanese proverbs.
The meaning and contents of proverb expressions are not only analyzed and examined, but also analyzed and examined from folklore perspective.
The results obtained from this study are as follows.
The awareness of ‘life and death’, ‘health’ and ‘disease’ in the bilingual pros and cons of Korea and Japan are common in today"s modern people, The difference could be seen.
Most of the perceptions revealed through proverbs are based on specific social, cultural, and religious elements that characterize the two countries" societies.
First, in the case of Korean proverbs, we can confirm that the ideological principles of various civil faiths are inherent throughout the whole of cognition.
In particular, it can be seen that the Korean shamanism, which absorbed the ideological principle of Buddhism and Taoism, strongly influenced
