This paper primarily points out that Kim"s (2013) simplified distinction between patient roles and non-patient roles cannot explain the contrast between canonical polarity cases and inverted polarity cases. To claim so, this paper presents counter-examples in which a recipient role and a goal role are involved but reveal canonical polarity sensitivity. Furthermore, this paper borrows examples from Israel (2001) who discusses more diverse cases of thematic roles. According to her, such thematic roles as agents, stimuli, instruments, rewards, temporal intervals are distinguished from thematic roles such as themes, patients, increments, expenses and durations, with respect to the behaviors of polarity sensitivity. To address this diversity, this paper proposes that the underlying attribute that makes the contrast in polarity sensitivity is the causation of movement, if it is to be phrased under the proto-role framework. If it is to be addressed in the Force Dynamics system, the underlying principle can be phrased as the moving force. In sum, only the entities with the force that causes either physical or psychological movement have enough capacity to invert polarity sensitivity.
