The purpose of this paper consists in capturing the characteristics of in Japan that transformed through the study comparing the novel of two authors around the Nabi Taryong in Yangji Lee and Seizyouki no Kikoenai Heya in Levy Hideo.
By a comparative study of Korean residents in Japan and foreign residents in Japan, we reveal each effort to seek the new of in Japan.
It can be different from the past in Japan and also the future in Japan, each effort may differ even each existence of in Japan. Identity confusion, hometown and country, experience and language which has the different background of the homeland can be said to act as a major factor.
Identity, Zainichi and the concept of the mother land have shifted by the times. The different times of the crossing the border makes the difference of Identity, Zainichi and the concept of the nationality. And the difference of established Identity, Zainichi and the concept of the nationality make a call of the friction.
The novels of Yangji Lee and Levy Hideo show the current of the times. Their’s novels make a demand for the new analysis about the current of the times.
