This study aims at examining the traits of development of physique and physical strength factors between male middle school, high school, and college and other adult gymnasts. Subjects are 30 excellent ones (members of the national team and the regular team) and 30 general ones, 60 in total, of middle school, high school, and college and other adult gymnasts. By measuring gymnastic performance, nine physique factors and six physical strength factors (overall eleven items), calculating T-score on each physique and physical strength factor, performing t-test and one-way ANOVA for the test of average difference with regard to T-score, the following significant conclusions are drawn. First, In the factors of standing height, length of the upper limbs, forearm girth, thigh girth, and calf girth, high school gymnasts are more developed than middle school gymnasts College and other adult gymnasts are better than high school and middle school student gymnasts in the elements of chest girth and upper arm girth. In body weight, the order is college and other adult gymnasts, high school students. Second, In the facers of muscular strength and power, college and other adult gymnasts are stronger than high school students, and high school students are stronger than middle school students. In the factors of muscular endurance and power, college and other adult gymnasts are superior to high school and middle school student gymnasts. College and other adult gymnasts also are more developed than middle school gymnasts in agility and pliability.
