This study has a purpose of producing and designing the Korean costumes in accordance with the movement of efforts to research and develop the popularization and maintaining the traditional culture so that it can be used as a high value added products of our lives. ‘Guunmong’ which is regarded as an great literary work is classic novel with one male character and eight female characters where each characters appearing in the ‘Guunmong’ has a unique of life and humanity which are expressed in a variety of character images and features. So, this study was designed the Korean costume according to the selected five characters in ‘Guunmong’. As such, by analyzing characters and with a variety of costumes configuration, it has been determined to be suitable for use to express the Korean costume. So, this study has investigated the tendency and the development of the Hanbok appearing in the modern era by type checking and formative characteristics according to the evolution of Korea Advanced costumes and by analyzing the images shown in the characters of classical novel ‘Guunmong’. Therefore , this study applies modern design and stylish outfits and produced not limited to Hanbok to the previous style to fit the flow of the recognized changes in one of the fashion style suggests the possibility of a sensual Korea Advanced costumes by utilizing the features of characters.
