In the period of resistance to Japan, The Korean youths battlefield mission corps (韓國靑年戰地工作隊) which acted mainly in Xian(西安), China was a representative Korean armed group belonging to anarchism. They were associated with Hu Jong-nan(胡宗南), the commander in chief of the 34th Corps of Chinese army. And then they concentrated on expansion of armed capability in the Korean youths training class(韓國靑年訓練班) established in Gansadan in the 34th Corps. They actively developed cultural propaganda activity through performance of anti-Japan artistic play while strengthening tie between Gansadan and women’s society in Xian. In the process, joining of Han Yu-han who was an instructor and a figure in the artistic realm became an opportunity to encourage cultural propaganda activity of The Korean youths battlefield mission corps. In May 1940, The Korean youths battlefield mission corps performed opera <Arirang>, paper-picture show <night in the national border>, <a Korean soldier> and delivered some 4,100 Won from profits to women’s society. Since then, opera <Arirang> had been performed several times in some places including Xian and became a representative work showing anti-Japan consciousness of Korean people. In addition, this contributed to change of consciousness for tie between Korea and China by Chinese army and civilians. Han Yu-han taking charge of essential role of cultural propaganda activity in The Korean youths battlefield mission corps was invited as a chief of children art class of Shanxi wartime the second nursery school(陝西省戰時第二保育院) which is a Chinese organization in the late 1942. Then times, children artistic class activity of Han Yu-han was used in cultural propaganda activity of Korea and China, working as medium to connect two countries. Even with limitation of activity in China, The Korean youths battlefield mission corps pursued mutual cooperation in the equal relationship with China. Han Yu-han made such idea possible. Anti-Japan artistic activity of The Korean youths battlefield mission corps contributed to inspiration of resistance consciousness and practice of such resistance by Korea and China.
