As a result of socio-political confusion, from the beginning it was difficult for the korean archaeology to establish the foundation of academic identity. Nowdays such defects and limits are remained not yet overcome.
In many parts several problems were aroused from the insufficent communication between archaeology and literal history. In this situation korean archaeology has to suggest the new paradigm as a amalgamative learning to combine the humanities, social sciences and the natural science.
In spite of the rapid growth of the archaeological data, we could not sufficently reconstruct the historical culture in lack of study. So there are many weakpoints in the fields of school and popular education of history.
In the part of archaological education, first of all, we must reform the system of research and education in university which are in the state of confusion. We must solve the educational proplems to train the archaeological specialists and teachers of history. At the same time to retrain the archaeologists who are working at various cultural heritages.
In case of school education through hitory textbooks, we are teaching history which is different from the historical truth in lack of study and communication with literal history. So it is responsible for us to solve this problems. Also it is necessary for us to be thoroughly ready for the history textbook which is predicted to involve many problems instead of improvement.
