It has been said that today is the time of convergence. Hybridization has been made among varied fields such as academic studies, religion, and arts. This paper explores Christopher Nolan’s cinematic work, Interstellar through such a perspective of convergence between quantum physics and Buddhism. The movie director has been broadly interested in the Indian philosophy, and thus, this paper analyzes Nolan’s approach to portray it into his movie, Interstellar in the way that ties Buddhism with quantum physics. In this paper, the Buddhist thoughts of Karma and Dharmachakra, in particular, have been employed to depict the plot structure of the movie. In addition, the string theory, which is the study of dimension, and the hypothesis of the absolute being or the living existence in a different dimension from the place where the humanity has been living at present. This paper traces the travels of the characters from the earth to the 5<SUP>th</SUP> dimension in the black hole. In so doing, it explores the movie director Nolan depicts the physic and religious perspectives, and discusses the moment of the protagonist, Cooper’s encounter with an Indian drone flying in the sky for ten years, the shape of the wheel-type spaceship, Endurance which looks very similar with the Darmachakra, the implication of the character’s name, Dr. Mann with his selfish and self-destroying behavior against other characters. In addition, it analyzes the planet of the suffering sea, the metaphor of the bitter human world. Most of all, in the end, this paper shows the message of the movie, which is love represented with gravity. It is rare to watch this kind of movie suggesting the excellent combination of scientific and religious elements.
