The aim of the testing process is that the measures of performance given to each examinee, as derived from ratings given judges, be as fair, accurate and useful as possible. Subject type sports skill tests are mostly favored by many situations because they are relatively easy to construct and seemingly valid method of measuring reproduction, organization, and integration of information. In a typical subjective judging situation, four factors dominate the rating given to an exarninee`s performance: the ability of the examinee, the difficulty of the item performed, the severity of the judge and the structure of the rating scale. Through extensive literature review of related studies on subjective type testing, the following major factors were identified as being likely to effect to the evaluation. Future research efforts are needed to identified the other extraneous variables. Examinee`s Halo-effects, ordering method during test, developing analytic scoring method, guaranteed judges specialty, and test equating should be studied.
