The purpose of this study was to develop the skill test of the floorball for determining sport skill level and implement the test for the selection of future floorball players. A number of floorball coaches were interviewed to design a floorball skill test, and additionally other skill tests for soccer and field hocky were investigated for the references of floorball skill test development. Total of five items of basic technique as shooting, passing, dribbling, catching, and receiving were selected to organize the skill test. Using the subjective evaluation of objective measurements and comparison of data the reliability and validity are determined to investigated the stability and consistency of floorball skills tests. National team players(n = 13), college players(n = 18), and club players(n = 20) performed five items of skill test for technical inspection targets, and subjective evaluation were also assessed with prominent coaches. The result of intraclass correlation coefficients showed that the subjective evaluation was very highly reliable, and thus subjective evaluation was verified as criterion for skill test. The testretest for five items of skill test was also shown high reliability, and this result represented that newly developed floorball skill test was proved as an objective screening tool. The one way ANOVA was analyzed to determine the difference of the average score between groups, and results showed significant differences between the groups. Pearson`s correlation coefficient also showed that the test results from a subjective evaluation of coaches were highly related to the results of five items of floorball skill tests obtained with three levels of players. In conclusion, newly developed floorball skill test showed highly reliable and valid to complement the leader`s subjective evaluation and could be useful to determine skill level of floorball players.
