Numbers of patients who agree to take ‘Robotic Surgery’ rather than real human doctor is continually increasing. While taking TKA, Total Knee Anthropology, the accurate registration of the tibia bone and femur bone is needed, because the knee joint has to stand for human weight. TKA is surgery for replacing knee joint with the implant knee joint. We suggest the surgery plan should be performed by using radiography with information brought by registration of the CT image and X-ay image. Because of the unique shape of the knee joint, tibia, and femur, we also suggest which similarity metric produce the best result of registration. In order to do that, we also give guideline for using optimization methods for registration of medical images.
The optimization methods showed different result which depends on the combination of similarity metric and optimization methods. The research also finds out which and why the combination caused different result.
