Using diary data that record activities of shoppers in every 15 minutes by themselves, this paper analyses characteristics of smartphone mobile shoppers with the emphasis on their information and communication technology environment. Comparison between 2013 and 2014 shows that the ratio of internet shoppers using desktops or notebooks declines while the ratio of mobile shoppers through smartphones increases more than twice. Results of estimation of appropriate econometric models show that mobile shopping experience, shopping frequency and shopping time are all positively affected by the increase in smartphone using time, internet using time or TV viewing time. Having notebook or 4G smartphone is also shown to increase mobile shopping experience, frequency and time but having desktop does not have effect on mobile shopping. Estimation results also show that the area of residence, the frequency of offline shopping, age, sex, marital status, education, and income have statistically significant effects on mobile shopping experience, frequency and time.
