German architecture strives for high-quality building. As it has developed in order to solid foundation rooted from advances in art, philosophy, science, and technology, systematic architect qualification system and education program are implemented to cultivate diverse perspectives of architecture based on basic academic foundation. Architectural education in German universities puts a high value on architect’s attitude and mind, and fundamental knowledge. It is a key to experience handson background under the qualification system. Architects in Germany eventually foster a broad understanding of urban development and traditional heritage to maintain community’s value by the synergic effect of architectural education and qualification system.
