This study aims to determine the possibility of overseas expansion of long-life housing in terms of economy, political diplomacy, social culture and technology, targeting 10 candidate countries deducted from previous research. While summarizing data collected from literature review and investigation of expert opinions, the research was divided into the part that has effects on the expansion of general housing construction business and the part that has effects on the expansion of long-life housing. This study has significance in that it established the criteria to select countries where overseas expansion of housing construction, especially long-life housing, can be possible, and that it presented suitable countries. The results of this study are as follows.
First, for factors that affect overseas expansion of general housing business, this study set economy and political diplomacy as the evaluation items. For factors that affect overseas expansion of long-life housing, social culture and long-life (similar) technology were set as evaluation items. This will be helpful in seeking new markets for expansion by partially changing the evaluation items in case of overseas expansion of other housing types. Second, Vietnam among the promising market in population, Singapore among the promising market in economy, and China among the rising market were reviewed as countries with high possibility of overseas expansion of cost-saving long-life housing currently under development.
