This aim of paper examinates the meaning extension of verb `잡다`. The study of lexical meaning is distinctive vision on language study tradition. I think so it that depends upon theoric dependence. Rounding upon theoric distinction of structuralism via experientialism, this paper inspects two model on previous approach of polysemy. In theoric inspect, Not only reveals it limits of theory in tradition study but also hit on economy approach of cognitive semantics approach. and examinate metaphor & metonymy of semantic extension theory, cognitive vision, on bounding semantic network approach, the meaning extension of verb `잡다` I think so it that the meaning interpretations of verb `잡다` have to be degree distinction in prototype theory, such as category memberships have to be. It is true that `family resemblance` is in terms of prototype meaning & extention meaning. In polysemy structure, there is common parts not but meaning core in. I hit on economy not abstractionist approach but semantic network approach. In previous meaning reveals, It motivates experiential gestalt structure of image scheme, projecting partial meaning in hole gestalt structure, and replace extension meaning in dictionary description. I hit on Not only memory economy but also language use model.
