This study aims to empirically analyze the impact of perception for the safety culture of the organization to target nuclear power plants on safety behaviors. In addition, in the analysis process, the moderating role of regulatory focus(prevention focus) and fatalism in the relationships between safety culture and safety behaviors are verified.
Results of this study indicated that firstly, the effect of the sub-factors of safety culture on safety behavior was is shown that there are differences depending on the sub-factors and that information sharing, decision making, and just culture among the sub-factors was higher positively impact on safety behaviors. Second, prevention focus was found to moderate the relationship between all of the safety culture sub-factors and safety behaviors. Thirdly, fatalism was found to moderate the relationship between leadership, organization competence and just culture.
These findings suggest that the effort of management to improve the level of safety culture is important because the higher the level of safety culture is, the higher the level of safety behavior of members becomes.
