Jon-jae, Yu Jin-ha is a Confucianism philosopher leading the value of Wigeoncheoksa(衛正斥邪) and the education in Kyeonggi do, Seosan Chungnam, in the late period of Choseon. When he was 26years old, became a member of Hwa-seo learning group under Seon-jae Yu jung-gyo. His Neo-Confucianism is found in Dong-am Dairy and Eo-rok written by Sim won-seong, Jeong jae-hwa, I cheol-seung, Min tae-jik.
He shows theory of Igiiwon inherited Jeong-ju tradition. The world consists of metaphysical Li and physical I. Those concepts are within Neo-confucianism. Simply, Li is a presider of Gi, which is to "Ligiwiju" and Neo-confucianism is to consistent spirit. He overemphasizes a presider of Gi contrived, not understanding Yul-gok"s Limuwi. Therefore he clears up enhanced Juli, the point is common with Toe-gye but different from Yul-gok He is interested in mind(心), virtue in theory of mental and focuses on mind presider, function of which is Li. Mind is combined Li and Gi, Li is a master Gi is a servant ultimately. Yu jin-ha focuses on perceptual function of mind which is connected to modern science. Also virtue is not Gi but Li mentioning all of the Confucian classic begin Li such as Geunsarok, Sohak so Daehak could not be a exception.
Not only his conduct emphasized on willingness(立志), introduction book for example Sohak, gyeokmongyogyeol but also distinguished right from wrong strictly in that times. The distinction is same as Li and Gi distinction. That is to say, Liseongihak"s values. Sincerity"s recovery could be based on tendency change, emphasizing on a match highlighting a practical learning attitude through Jihaengbyeongjin, Eonhangilchi. In succession to learning of Yulgok and Geongju, Emphasize geogyeong(居敬), Geungri(窮理), Yeokhang(力行).
In short, Yu jin-ha was a a Confucianism philosopher who practiced the value of Wijeongcheoksa(衛正斥邪) and Byeokidan(闢異端), cleared the virtue of Guli inherited from tradition of Hwaseohakdan(華西學團learning group) philosophically in the ethnic crises and ethics of life.
