The purpose of this study was examine policy proposals through the analysis of women-friendly policies that affect the job satisfaction of women workers. Therefore, the study, “Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women & Families” was used to analyze the survey document of 1,249 female workers that is included the 4th annual research.
The research results of the dissertation are as follows. First, wages have a meaningful impact on job satisfaction, and it was identified that there is a significant difference according to employment status. Second, women-friendly policies showed an influence on job satisfaction, and not only the work-family balance system, but also discrimination in the workplace were factors that influenced job satisfaction.
Policy implications for the study results were as follows: First, the work-family balance institution provides an incentive to companies to do voluntarily. Second, government employment reform action is needed to eradicate the sexism custom. In other words, there is a need to review the “anonymous application procedure” introduced. In addition, a favorable atmosphere is needed for women in the workplace for a women- friendly policies to be available.
