As emerging technologies unleash unforeseen issues upon society, consumers are skeptical and even wary about technically unprepared products. To strengthen public acceptance, companies must design new products or services focusing not only on creativity but also responsibility. Studies have suggested various resolutions mainly in the field of Responsible Innovation (RI); however, the existing accounts have failed to deal with limitations in qualitative approaches, such as high labor intensity and time requirement. Therefore, this research proposes a novel approach that proactively searches for specific impacts of emerging technology that may devalue our social norms and detects pertinent technical solutions that may shape the action of future users. To this end, latent semantic analysis (LSA) is performed to cluster related keywords and documents, and semantic similarity is measured to quantitatively link futureoriented documents to patents and literatures. Based on the result, we provide technical direction for embedding human values into the future design of emerging technologies.
