Until modern times, the use of fiber as a material for interior decorations like tapestry or carpet had been limited to practical and formal ones, but it became an artistic object according to the currents of modernization and the artistic movements to expand man`s creativity and the use of material based on artists` autonomy and exploratory spirit. Fiber art has been closely related to the abvancement of civilization and human culture and continuously created anew and developed into having unique styles by numerous artists who wanted to express their inner world. The appearance of fiber art as a new form of creation was relatively a recent event but its development has been so much remarkable that now it is acknowledged as a unique genre of modem art. Fiber art in the 20th century established its stand as a creative genre of formative art and then started to cast off traditional tapestry techniques and rewrite the history of modern art with its capacity to.
