The Modern Fiver Art can be regarded as a creative activity which functions practically and plays an artistic roll dealing not only with the material called fiver, but with all the structures made out of fiber. In these modern days the term `Fiber Art` is called Art Fabric, Soft Art and so forth. Under the influence of the movement of William Morris and Bauhaus, fiber artists experimented the modeling widely, dissolving the boundary of each field of the art. Thus Modern Fiber Art developed through the influence of Post-modernism era which showed the new possibility and the pursuit of the beauty in fiver art of late 20th century. In the Post-modernism era, experimental researches began on a full scale, with the material and the technique getting rid of the classical norms in the presentation styles emerged with the introduction of Object using mixed-media in the various genre, the Modern Fiver Art renovated. Therefore this dissertation researched into the artists and their works on what effects the Post-modernism had on the presentation style of the Modern Fiber Art exposed in Backetry, Felt, Collage, Assemblage, Soft Sculpture, Installation, Environment and so on. The results era that the three-dimensional structure, the Installation and Environment Art developed from the two-dimensional plane, through the introduction of the Object style in the new material and technique, and that the pure structural art made in the way of the Object beyond the canon and the genre using various mixed-media, exposed the characteristics of the Post-modernism. In conclusion, the Modern Fiber Art gas developed continually under the influence of Post-modernism, and will develop as well in the future into the Total Art as the experimental researches will go on with the introduction of the technology of the contemporary science.
