At the 18th century Japan people considered himself Dokdo and Ulrungdo are the territory of them. This study analysis the "Takeshimatousetsu" written in 1724."Takeshimatousetsu" is approximately a book documenting the story of 30 years ago. The content is as follows : In other words, Oya family and Murakawa family crossed the ocean to Ulreung-do for 70 years. They met with An Yong-bok of Koreans in Ulleungdo island. the Japanese government cancelled permission to make a voyage. Because Japanese government admitted Ulreung-do is Joseon"s territory. In virtually there was only one part called "The Matsushima is island of Oki nationin" "Takeshimatousetsu" about Dokdo. In fact the Japanese did not cross the ocean for the Dokdo. They crossed the ocean for Ulrungdo. Because Ulrungdo is the island have many products. The Japanese claimed that Ulrungdo is Japanese territory. However, the
Japanese government recognized Dokdo is Korean territory. Nevertheless, the Japanese people claimed many times Ulrungdo is the Japanese territory. The Japanese government admitted that is not Japanese territory until the end. Japanese people insisted that Matsushima is its own territory. Because it was an island which crossed the oceanfor 70 years.
