This study investigated the difference of a causal relationship of economic news, consumer sentiment and consumption behaviour in political structure of different government as it applied the regime switching model concepts. Methodologically, this study predicted the causality, the hierarchy and the intensity of the effect between these variables in three dimensions using vector autoregressive model(VAR) and impulse and response function. The findings are as follows. First, the asymmetric effects between economic variables were found depending on governmen"s structural changes. Second, the mutual effects between the economic communication elements in the economic crisis of the national unit did not work properly. Third, rally effects to form a public opinion favorable to the government and the President by the media coverage of the economy confirmed in the financial crisis. Fourth, the mutual influences of economic variables appeared the political crisis. Fifth, the mutual influences between economic variables based on the government"s structural changes as appeared discriminatory confirmed the concept of the so-called regime switching model. This study discussed based on the asymmetric effects of economy communication between Kim Dae-Jung government in financial crisis and Roh Moo-hyun government in political impeachment.
