The purpose of this article is to examine the earliest two traditions(Acts 214-41; 1 Cor 15:1-8) in resurrection traditions of the New Testament. The resurrection tradition of the earliest New Testament Church(=the primitive Christian community) is kerygmatic in intention and has arisen in the circle of tradition formed by the primitive community in Jenusalem(Acts 2:14-38; 3:13-26; 5:30-32; 10:36-43). The resurrection tradition of the Hellenistic churches, on the other hand, has come into being by some additional interpretations to the original kerygmatic tradition vis-a-vis the new situation of the Hellenistic churches(Acts 13:16-41, Gal. 1:3-4, 1 Cor. 15:3-5, Rom 8:34). The former is mainly qualified by a credal phrase "God has raised Jesus who was dead" (Acts 3:32, 3:15, 5:30, 10:39-40). while the latter represents the tradition which accompanies the soteriological statement, "for our sins`(Gal. 1:3-4; 1 Cor. 15:3). The Peter`s Pentecost Speech(so-called missionary speeches by Peter or Paul) has summarized the basic kerygma and testimonia of early christian preachers. 1) Acts 2:14-21. The "pouring out of the Spirit" upon "all flesh" is fulfilling the "proclamation to all the nations" of a "change of mind leading to the release of sins" as the Scripture(Jole 3) declare. 2) 2:22-28. Jesus` of Nazareth signs, crucifixion, and resurrection already inaugurated the end days of salvation as theScriptures(Psalm 15) declare. 3) 2:29-36. As exalted "Lord and Christ" at God`s "right hand,"Jesus is "pouring out the Spirit" of the "proclamation of a change of mind leading to the forgiveness of sins" as the Scripture(Psalms 109) declare. 4) 237-41. Through a resurrection tradition which inherited the apostlic tradition and added to it the appearance tradition. This development influenced the transition from the creedal stage which emphasizes the eye-witness testimony about the appearance of Christ to the narrative stage which emphasized the risen Christ.
