A study on the debate of the popularizaion of art was focus on an opposite opinion between Kim-Gi-Jin and theorists in Toyko, musansapa(無産者派). So the point of view on this debate arranged by ‘strategic flexibility vs adhesion of principle’, ‘Seoul, the head office vs Tokyo chapter’, ‘Concreteness vs abstraction’. But this paper’s writer’s tring to pay attaintion to the common ground of these-two groups, kim-Gi-JIn and the theorists in Toyko. They shared the historical perspective, marxist’s historical materialism in the late 1920’s. They thoght that the people is the subject of history, and petite-bourgeoisie would be fall apart, and disappear in the mist of history. But the korean people could not realize their misson in th history, so they was enlightened by the work that writers and artists in KAPF.
Kim Gi JIn’s strategy was made up mainly of print journalism and storytelling. He thought that if the korean people read a novel written by writer in KAPF, they would be moved and would get social consciousness. For this reason, Kim-Gi-Jin emphasized the carefully story-making skill to the KAPF’s writers and artist. On the other hand, theorists in Toyko preferred for any other form of media, or genre of art. They wanted to everything possible in using form of media, and genre of art, for example, drama, film, art, music, and litereture, the typical form of media communicacion in bourgeoisie’s society. They tried to dissolved and reconstituted those form of media, genre of art, and so on. When korean’s cultural conditios in the late 1920’s were taken into consideration, Theorists in Tokyo’s strategy was more meanful. But both of them couldn’t anticipated the changing of the people’s cultural desire and the situation of the media envirnment in 1930’s.
