This study conducted a survey of visitors to Gyeonggi International boat show 2011 which conducted from May 30th to June 3rd in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do in 2011 for the research to support to the effects of using marine leisure sports in participant of marine leisure sports on motive for participating. The conclusions are as follows: First, according to the demographic characteristics, the difference of using marin leisure sport by gender, men is higher in one-time service hours. And for age-related differences, over 40s are higher in one-time cost, annual cost and travel time. For occupation-related difference, self-employed is higher in one-time use, annual cost and travel time and specialized job is higher in one-time service hours. Also, for monthly income difference, 300-4000,000 won is higher in one-time cost, annual cost and travel time and over 4,000,000 won is higher in one-time service hours. Second, according to the demographic characteristics, the difference of motive for participating by gender, men is higher in purifying motivation. And for age-related differences, 20s are higher in learning motivation, friendly motivation and fun motivation, and over 40s are higher in health and fitness motivation. For occupation-related difference, self-employed are higher in learning motivation, friendly motivation and health/fitness motivation and specialized job is higher in purifying motivation. Also, for monthly income difference, 100-2,000,000 won is higher in purifying motivation and fun motivation. Third, according to the effects of using marine leisure sports in participant of marine leisure sports on motive for participating, service hours effects on learning and friendly motivation, and one-time cost and annual cost effect on purifying and health/fitness motivation.
