The purpose of this study was to understand difficulties newly appointed pre-service teachers were experiencing while they were teaching young children in the ``Young Sport Club.`` Additional purpose of this study was to provide reference materials required to develop curricula to bring up pre-service physical education teachers for young children. To achieve the suggested purpose, two physical education teachers for young children were selected to participate in the study. The selected research participants have taught for less than two years in the field. Date were collected and analyzed through ethnographic interview and participant observation suggested by Spradley(1979). The results of analyzing the collected data showed that the newly appointed physical education teachers for young children were suffering difficulties in teaching young children of pre-school due to insufficient knowledge on curricula, lack of understanding of pre-school children and teaching methods, and incompetence of creating learning environment. More specifically, the research participants had difficulties in representing content knowledge acquired at college of pre-service physical education teachers for young children. The difficulties the research participants had been experiencing were aggravated by establishing motor ability of young children higher than it really is. The researcher participants were not presenting the learning tasks effectively because of insufficient knowledge of teaching methods. Finally, the research participant were not creating positive learning environment by changing teaching materials fit for instructional purpose because they lack capability of modifying teaching materials in the field.
