This study is to investigate that aerobic exercise and the Red Ginseng taking influence of antioxidant enzymes and lipid superoxides in diabetes patients. The subjects of study were 18 non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus patients in the fifties man, and the subjects parted into control group(CG, N=6), exercise group (EG, N=6) and exercise & Red Ginseng oral administration group(EGG, N=6), and trained to 50~70% HRmax intensity by using bicycle ergometer for 5 times a week through 12 weeks. The results were as follows: 1. The effect on antioxidant enzymes. 1) The change of SOD The change of serum MDA appeared no change of CG but decrease of EG and EGG(F=6.25, p<.05). Between the exercise pre and post, serum MDA is decreased more in post than pre(F=4.81, p<.001). 2) The change of CAT It appeared that there`s slight difference (F=5.781, p<.05) among three groups and it revealed to be "CG<EG,EGG" afterward. Besides, there was a difference(F=4.48, p<.05 ) between the exercise pre and post. and there was a certain increase after exercise. 2. The effect on Superoxides(MDA) It appeared that there`s a difference (F=6.25, p<.05)statistically and it revealed th be "CG>EG,EGG" afterward. In conclusion, aerobic exercise and taking red panax ginseng for 12 weeks gives a positive influence in the change of antioxidant enzymes and lipid superoxides in the case of diabets patients. It is suggested that continual low intensive Aerobic training,dietetics fitted well with a diet table, taking red ginseng as a dietary supplements and pharamcotherapy based on consultant`s prescription are highly recommanded to make the breakdown of immunity and the increase of oxidation stress slow.
