The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of walking exercise on blood glucose, lipid metabolism, and insulin in non-insulin-dependent diabetic patients observing the change of insulin concentration, lipid metabolism, blood glucose concentration in each treat(fasting, before exercise, exercise 10min, exercise 20min, recovery 10min) during walking exercise with moderate intensity for 20 minutes to 7 women in normal group and 11 women in NIDDM group. Summarizing the result of this research in as follows; 1) There was the significant difference(p<0.05) between groups and treats in blood glucose concentration, but there wasn`t any other significant difference in interaction between groups and treats. 2) Lipid metabolism (1) There was the significant difference(p<0.05) between groups and treats on total cholesterol concentration, but there wasn`t any other significant difference in interaction between groups and treats. (2) There wasn`t the significant difference(p<0.05) between groups and treats on HDL-C concentration, also there wasn`t any other significant difference in interaction between groups and treats. (3) There was the significant difference(p<0.05) between two treats(fasting, just before exercise) on LDL-C concentration in NIDDM group, but there wasn`t any other significant difference in interaction between groups and treats. (4) There wasn`t the significant difference(p<0.05) between groups and treats on TC/HDL-C ratio, also there wasn`t any other significant difference in interaction between groups and treats. (5) There was the significant difference(p<0.05) between two treats(normal, NIDDM) on triglycerides concentrationin, but there wasn`t any other significant difference in interaction between groups and treats. 3) There wasn`t the significant difference(p<0.05) between groups and treats on insulin concentrationin, also there wasn`t any other significant difference in interaction between groups and treats. Synthesizing the above results, There was the significant difference(p<0.05) in groups or treats on blood glucose, total cholesterol, triglycerides concentration, but there wasn`t any other significant difference in interaction between groups and treats.
