The purpose of this study was to examine relationship between life style and participation in sport among employees. More specifically, the study investigated the effect of life style on two aspects of participation in sport among employees: (1) participation experience (2) degrees of participation. Data collected through a questionnaire designed for this study consist of fixed-alternative choice response to items constructed to represent the operational definition for each variable. The inventory was administered to one thousand six hundred and two male and female employees. Life style, independent variable, was consists of ten subfactors: fashion oriented, self-discipline, self-confidence, goal attainment, willingless, nihilism, sport-oriented, brand oriented, optimism, health. Dependent variables of the study consisted of four sub-variables: participation experience of sport, degrees of participation in sport, types of sport events, and flow experience of sport. Statistics employed for data analyses were discriminant analysis, product-momnet correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. Based upon the results of the study, the following conclusions appear warrented : First, lifestyles such as, self-discipline, self-confidence, willingless, sport-oriented, and health had effects on experience of sport participation. Second, lifestyles such as, sport, self-discipline, goal attainment, and nihilism had an influence on frequencies of sport participation, lifestyles such as, sport, self-discipline, goal attainment, nihilism, health, and self-confidence had an influence on duration of sport participation, and lifestyles such as, nihilism, self-discipline, goal attainment, brand-oriented, and sport-oriented had an influence on intensity of mass sport participation.
