This study, based on the development of the successive world cup tournament, is to observe how Korea`s World Cup joint holding will influence upon the economy and the local development in Korea. And the purpose of this study is to present the futures direction of development by illumination the relationship between she World Cup Joint holding and the sports marketing. The results from this study are as follows; 1. The profits of the World Cup tournament are classified into three sorts. The TV relay broadcasting charge, the marketing, and the jadmission fee. By holding the 2002 World Cu p. Korea expect to earn approximately 4 hundred million dollars. 2. The new construction of the Stadium. accommodations and the social overhead capital inveatment will be two biathlon Won and the earnings by inducement of tourists will be 12 million Won. The immportant problem for us to solve in holding 2002 World Cup are; first. Korea and Japan have to accomplish the perfect mutual cooperation. Second, The World Cup preparation and propulsion has to be leaded by citizens and the World cup organizing committee; of two countries and the governments have to take only role as active pattons. 3. After the World Cup, the stadium has to be open to the public and has to be the place for the publics leisure and relaxation under the care of the local self-governing body.
