The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of aerobic exercise with regard to the intensity on the growth hormones and serotonin in adolescent. In order to conduct this study, participants were categorized into two groups; a moderate intensity group with 10 participants and a high intensity group with 10. The moderate intensity aerobic exercise group was set with 55%HRR of heart rate reserve and the high intensity aerobic exercise group with 75%HRR of heart rate reserve. The research was conducted 3 time a week for 8 weeks to examine the changes in before and after exercise in the groups. The results are seen below. 1. After conducting a 8 weeks of moderate intensity aerobic exercise growth hormone showed a statistically significant difference(p<.05). However, serotonin was no significant statistical difference. 2. After conducting a 8 weeks of high intensity aerobic exercise growth hormone showed a statistically significant difference(p<.01). However, serotonin was no significant statistical difference. 3. As a result of the intensity of aerobic exercise after verification by the difference between growth hormone and serotonin. There were growth hormone showed a difference between groups (p<.05), serotonin did not differ between groups. Based on the results of this study, both moderate and high intensity aerobic exercise showed a positive contribution to the growth of adolescents during the growth period. But confirmed the secretion of growth hormone in high intensity exercise more effective than in the moderate intensity exercise.
