Most of the diagnoses of diseases are done by in vitro analyses with the samples from human body, including blood, urine, and saliva. Molecular diagnostic analysis methods have been serious concern since the development of PCR technique. The PCR method makes the identification and assessment of hazardousness degree of disease possible which were untenable in the past. Molecular diagnostic analysis is important in the selection of therapies, observation of disease progress, and the detection of the resistance elements to drugs. This new field of molecular diagnostic analysis needs bioinformatics methods which can analyze massive scale of information. Diverse databases including genetic, proteomic and microbic databases are significantly exploited for the comparison and the analysis of biological data. The current status of databases is, thus, reviewed. Bioinformatics approach might help fast and correct diagnostic analysis through the development of computational applications. Improved gene expression profiling might help diagnosis of disease and classifications of reactions during the predication and the process of remedy when being utilized in the clinical diagnosis. Bioinformatics is expected to be more strongly concerned for the wide possible applications in diagnostic analysis researches including computational software technology for fast analysis, disease process management and molecular diagnosis method development. Thus, the trends of molecular diagnostic analysis methods and bioinformatics technique which are used in the field of diagnostic analysis were reviewed in this review in the pursuit of motivations for active future researches.
