Biology has been in continuous evolution with times in order to meet the needs of human survival. After successful completion of the HGP (Human Genome Project), we have been witnessing the post-genome era which genomic and proteome data are needed to be analyzed in massive scales. As a result, information processing became more important for the understanding of the mechanisms of underlying principles. Next generation sequencing (NGS) technique accelerates such needs even further. However, vast amount of data generated by the NGS technique in many forms could cause more problems than before if we do not prepare for such development in advance. In this report, current trend in Bioinformatics along with NGS is reviewed hoping to assist the readers of interest.
