Although Musin Revolt took placed by Soron who out of government in 1728 was a great shocking incident to King Yeongjo in that it denied the legitimacy as a successor of King Gyeongjong, King Yeongjo did not changed his political administrative style. This is because of his political circumstances of that period. First, in case of organizing one-party cabinet by Noron on behalf of Soron, the possibility of danger of rising another revolt could increased. Second, Soron was absolutely necessary for King Yeongjo in that only Soron could guarantee the legitimacy as a successor of King Gyeongjong, because they had been in charge of the King Gyeongjong’s regime. Therefore King Yeongjo needed to design a sophisticated logic to protect Soron who in government from enormous political offence by Noron.
Meanwhile Soron who in government also needed to political justification to be separated from Soron who out of government to remain King Yeongjo’s cabinet. Because The Gamnannok was compiled to accomplish these two objects by Soron who in government as well as King Yeongjo, political justification filled in The Gamnannok can be classified by three typed discourse like below. First, Soron who in government had no connection with Musin Revolt. Second, the argument of Soron who out of government that King Yeongjo had connection with the death of King Gyeongjong was absolutely untrue. Third, Fundamental root of Musin Revolt could be traced back to the political party.
