The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Perfectionism and Negative Automatic Thoughts on Speech Anxiety Children’s. The research conducted survey about socially-prescribed perfectionism, speech anxiety, academic self-efficacy scale by 312 of elementary school in Busan, Kyung-nam province, Ulsan. Correlation analysis, hierarchical multiple regression analysis, and Sobel test were employed to investigate the hypotheses. The results of this study were as following: First, positive relationships were found between Perfectionism and Speech Anxiety, between Perfectionism and Negative Automatic Thoughts, and between Negative Automatic Thoughts and Speech Anxiety respectively. Second, Negative Automatic Thoughts showed a partial mediating effect on the relationship between the children’s Self-oriented Perfectionism and Speech Anxiety. Third, Negative Automatic Thoughts showed a partial mediating effect on the relationship between the children’s Socially-prescribed Perfectionism and Speech Anxiety. Findings and implications of this study are discussed.
