This paper is about esoteric buddhism of Jinpyo. Jinpyo is the high priest of Buddhism in Silla Dynasty. Sungje, the teacher of Jinpyo, studied in Dang of China. At that time he took over the five Buddhist commandments from Munsubosal in Mt. Odae in China. Munsubosal is deeply related to esoteric buddhism.
Sungjae gave jinpyo Gongyangchajebub. He also gave him Jeomchalakbokyeong but in this paper, it is left that out of the discussion. He told Jinpyo that he had to confess his sin to Jijang and Miruk, take their commandments, and spread them in the world.
Gongyangchajebub is the Bible in Daeilkyeong, which is the central thought of esoteric of midst age. So Gongyangchajebub is the basic bible of esoteric buddhism.
Jinpyo left from Geumsansa temple after he had been taught from Sungjae. After that, he went to Busauiam in Byeonsan, Jeonbuk. He practiced asceticism in this place. He followed Gongyangchajebub, even when his everyday life, from eating to practicing. He did esoteric buddhism.
Consequently, Jinpyo himself could see Jijang, Miruk. This was not common in history. Then, he went to the world with their thoughts, and educated people.
