It is the record that Bokujuitteki and Gyogamanroku and Byoshorokushaku which are the three major essays of later years of Siki Masaoka are 9 month for approximately one year from February 16, 1901 to September 17, 1902. The condition of a patient already turned worse, and Siki Masaoka of this time was in condition not to be able to be active by oneself. The essay that "Bokujuitteki" was published serially in "a Japanese newspaper" on 164 times from January 16, 1901 to July 2 of Siki Masaoka appears. "Gyogamanroku" that is the second work of the three major essays that Shiki Masaoka wrote in later years is a record for approximately one year from September 2, 1901 to September 3 in the next year. This essay is the sentence that an everyday date is written down, and is near a diary. "Byoshorokushaku" of Siki Masaoka to 127 times from May 5, 1902 to September 17 that is two days ago to die and published serially in newspaper of "Japan". Shiki writes one"s thought that I felt in everyday life through constant intellectual curiosity and the intuitive observation for things while fighting against sufferings from illness in the limited space of 6 Shakus.
Siki Masaoka records one"s fight against illness note in honesty in the essay of these three of them. In this report, I intend to consider his life state through Tanka and Haiku picturing the three major essays that a state of the life of the sickbed of later years of such Siki Masaoka appears in as the object in that. The inside world of Siki Masaoka who activity looks in a Tanka and the Haiku included in the three major essays of later years of Siki Masaoka in a limited sickbed, and feels it appears. It was an acute desire for the life awareness.
