The purpose of this study is to find out whether the exercise of Hapkido has any effects on the immunoglobulin of the male old men. The subject of the study is divided into a experiment group (10 persons), and a control group(10 persons), in total 20 persons. To the experiment group, the exercises of Hapkido were given 5 times per week for 12 weeks, and measured their effects in IgA, IgG, IgM at the end of the 0 week, the 4th week, the 8th week and the 12nd week. The results are as follows. The density of IgA significantly increased at the 12nd week (P<.01), and there were significant difference between the experiment group and the control group at the 8th week (P<.05) and the 12nd week (P<.01). The density of IgG for humoral immunity significantly increased at tl1e 8th (P<.05) and tl1e 12nd week (P<.01), and there were significant difference between the experiment group and the control group at 8th week (P<.05) and 12nd week (p<.01). The density of IgM for humoral immunity significantly increased at the 8th (P<.01) and the 12nd week (P<.01), and there were significant difference between the experiment group and the control group at 8th week (P<.001) and 12nd week (P<.001). These results show that even old men can improve their immunity ability by regular and active participation in the exercise of Hapkido, leading to healthy life where ageing is delayed and disease prevented.
