The aim of this paper is to give an expression of the chronological and local development of ironware making by examining the various materials concerning it among the remains in the region of Byeonhan during the Samhan period.
It is assumed that the production of iron goods at that time was known by various methods, and the producers were leaders all across the area, through the investigation of the flat iron and rod type axes, in order to deduce the ironware making system round that area.
It is unfolded that the greater part of remains of iron making is located in the southern coast of Byeonhan, and that the managers mostly placed the iron workshop at a point convenient for transportation, trading and making iron.
An antler and alien relics from second level of the remains in Neukdo taken, it is more likely that the exchange system between a group in that island and land was organized. Also it is discovered that third level of ironware making was widespread in the southern coast, and the brand new rod type axe represents the change in ironware making system. Specially, the fact that the ironware buried in tomb chiefly is found around Gimhae suggests that Guyakuk began to gain the control of production and distribution of iron goods, and that this system was stabilized since then.
In the third century, with the respect of the war of Posangpalkuk, Guyakuk"s holding the control of production of iron goods and trade of them stirred up eight countries, which called Posangpalkuk to start the war, and then, consequently, Guyakuk including Sarokuk was more powerful after the war, in contrast with these countries under the control of Guyakuk.
