For construction works, it is important for the project owner, primary contractor, the subcontractors, and many other participants to work in close cooperation. The project’s overall performance, and therefore the management performance, depends critically on contractual relationships including determination of the amount to be paid and the payment terms, as well as depending on the subcontractors. Nevertheless, the reality, according to the unfair business practices are causing a lot of problems.
The purpose of this study, the impact of business practices of the construction industry between the primary contractors and the subcontractors on he partnership, conflict, and business performance were investigated. In addition, the perception of the difference between the primary contractors and the subcontractors analyzed.
The result, business practices of between the primary contractors and the subcontractors weaken the partnership was found to lead to conflict, and negative influence on the performance were analyzed. Also unfair Business practices directly influence the performance, rather than indirectly through partnerships and conflicts affecting confirmed. Finally, the difference between the primary contractors and subcontractors results, the primary contractors conflict have a negative effect on performance, whereas subcontractors that do not affect the performance was analyzed. The reason for this is that the primary contractor"s superior position of the subcontractor has been interpreted to be due to the recognition.
