There are many objects and purposes to hold expositions in American history. First of all, economic effects are the most important thing of all the many kinds of diverse prospects. Expositions could encourage the economic enhancement and development not only on the main city which held the exposition but also on the national area. All the new modern industrial products displayed in the exposition are directly introduced into the visiting peoples. Therefore, after the exposition, big sale is being happened. Also, the exposition site itself is constructed to symbolize the utopian model city, And so, the hosting state and nation show off the superiority its own people.
This article is to disclose that, through this exposition’s magnificent panoramas such as technical advancing utilities and surrounding unique buildings and scenes, American upper white leaders would urge all American people to be unified as whole and national harmony, and to be prided of themselves attending this exceptional exclusive American experiment. I think that this intention of chicago’s exposition was one of the so-called American exceptionalisms.
