The concept of "correctional welfare" extends without limit because there are different meanings around each scholar in correctional welfare.. The main purpose of correctional welfare benefit is criminal, juvenile, some weak person and so on.
And it is necessary for the social worker who are qualifies to the basic skill of correction welfare practice to intervene in correctional welfare. Also they can participate as a social worker in public sector and private sector.
The types of community based correctional system contain formal treatment in community and informal treatment in community. The former consists of probation, intermediate treatment, aftercare and the latter consists of diversion.
Most of all, it is said that diversion is to divert or avoid from juvenile justice process through an informal measure in view of minimizing of labelling and resocialization of a criminal. Finally, increase in correctional facilities and decrease in expense should be accomplished by using correctional welfare through community treatment.
