This paper is designed to overview the trend of ecocriticisms of the past ten years published in Literature and Environment(ASLE-Korea). The major findings are as follows. First, one third of the entire number of criticisms have searched for something ecocritical from canons. Second, the ramifications of deep ecology formulated the major trend of ecocricisms in fiction studies, no matter what they are still unsophisticated. Third, contemporary female writers were in the center of academic interests among ecocritics. Fourth, Leslie Marmon Silko and other native American writers have got huge critical concerns among ecocritics. Fifth, half of the entire criticisms were placed in the interface between traditional literature studies and deep/social ecology. Finally, contemporary fiction studies leave the task of speculating on the new definition of ecologically meaningful fictions away from dramatic human affairs only, Also these studies should illuminate how fictions are endowing non-human agents with the crucial roles in the texts.
