This study is to find out the influence of viewing combative sports on youth"s aggression and view of sports value. Demographic questions for this study are gender and school year. Viewing combative sports as independent variable of the study consist of viewing time and viewing frequent. As a dependent variable, aggression have four sub-factors; anger, body aggression, hostility, and verbal aggression. And view of sports value have six sub-factors: character, physical, economic, entertainment, aesthetic, and fellowship.
The data was collected from May 1, 2007 to May 30, 2007. Questionnaire were given youth viewing combative sports. Among 250 surveyed with self-administering method, 233 were used except for 17 unfaithful data. The collected data were analyzed by the statistical methods such as the frequency, independent t-test, ANOVA, and Multiple regression using SPSS window 12.0. The major finding of the study are summarized as follows:
Ⅰ. First, about the difference of aggression according to the demographic variables
1. According to gender, there was a difference on anger, sub-factor of aggression
2. According to school year, there was no difference on aggression.
Ⅱ. Second, about the difference of view of sports value according to the demographic variables
1. According to gender, there was a significant difference on view of sports value.
2. According to school year, there was no significant difference on sports value.
Ⅲ. Third. about the aggression according to viewing time on combative sports
1. According to viewing time, there was a significant difference on aggression.
2. According to viewing frequency, there was partially significant difference on attack and sports view.
Ⅳ. Fourth, about the view of sports value according to viewing time on combative sports
1. According to viewing time, there was a significant difference on view of sports value.
2. According to viewing frequency, there was partially significant difference on view of sports value.
Ⅴ. Fifth, the influence of aggression on view of sports value Aggression has an impact on view of spots value in part.
