The teaching method of languages and letters, which have their universal validity, demands linguistic genuineness and legitimacy. Though these languages and letters have universal validity, something like tradition and authority, there have been dominance, oppression, distorted communication, that is to say, they have played important roles as ideological resource and transmission. Habermas raises a question whether mutual agreement, though it is the agreement through plenty of communication, be real or not. He thinks that there can be distorted and false agreement even though it is through sufficient conversation. Habermas"s important concern is to find out the possible condition of true mutual agreement and unified public opinion after overcoming distorted communication. Habermas tries to propose ideal blueprints for the condition of non-distorted communication. They are the communicative competence, discourse, ideal speech situation, agreement and unified opinion. But these Habermas"s proposals are
encountered by harsh criticism. They are criticised that those proposals are too unfeasible schemes. Also We can still put questions on habermas"s ideal proposals whether these can survive on under the conditions of unreasonable thoughts and illogical social systems prevailing these days.
