While living their ordinary lives people pursue well-being. The problem lies in the confusion of the word ‘being’. One can understand it as an existence or as the philosophical ‘Being’ which this paper will refer to as. The word ‘well’ will be interpreted as ‘아름(Areum)’ and ‘다움(Daum)’. Consequently, the word ‘well-Being’ is being understood as ‘아름-다운(areum-daun) life’. ‘Well-dying’ is a result led by a ‘well-Being’ life. Therefore, ‘well-dying’ is ‘아름-다운(areum-daun) dying’ and this will be the mode of the death of those who have lived the ‘아름-다운(areum-daun) life’. Death cannot be standardized and uniformly understood. As it is with life, individual lives and "there" are applied in death. This paper seeks to unveil such matter from existential interpretations based on Heidegger’s concept of care.
