This report aims to outline the methodological characteristics of conversion analysis (CA) in the context of proposing CA as a potential tool for the analysis of grammar by way of addressing a range of issues that are variably relevant to the issue of how a CA perspective can be incorporated into the analysis of Korean. Drawing upon CA research on Korean conversations, an attempt in made to demonstrate how the analysis interactional practices structured through turns and sequences can be brought to bear upon the analysis of grammar. Included in the analysis are a range of grammatical forms and practices, e.g. the topic marker, connectives, sentence-ending suffixes, demonstratives, word order change/turn extension. other-initiated research are discussed with reference to potential analytic benefits that can be gained from an investigation of the ways in which grammar is sequentially embedded as a resource for organizing interaction.
