In 〈Blood Rain〉 and 〈Voice of Ghost〉, lunatic motif which is noticeable characteristic of grotesque appears. This was to make daily life strange and was to convert the existing normative value. The conflict in mind of 〈Voice of Ghost〉 means that symbolizing of ethical struggle in novels was initiated. The introduction of the lyrics of ‘Pansori’ to 〈Silver World〉 means the discovery of the people-oriented tradition in Korean literature.
The new-style novel of Lee In-Jik can be assumed to be the addition of the trend of traditionalism (culture nationalism) to melodramatic description composition aspect by the French romantic school which maintained superiority in the side of literature in Japan at that time. The problem can be said to be equating the traditional (premodern) value which existed as modernism ideology in reality with the process of modernization.
